Onity Electronic Proximity Lock the Only in Brazil with Anatel Certificate
Onity, a global leader in electronic locks, has introduced its electronic door lock with proximity HT RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. It is the only RFID lock currently certified by Anatel, through Resolution 506 - (Certificate of Conformity n° NCC 1014-15-9598), issued by the Associação NCC Certificações do Brasil. Installation of the new Onity HT RFID lock is quick and easy. The locks can be programed for access using cards, bracelets, keychains or portable devices such as cell phones and tablets. The near field communication technology allows the exchange of information between devices without the need of a memory card, just physical contact of the devices. The electronic lock system enhances security monitoring with reports that show the date, time and access card used to open a door.
"The installation is straightforward and can quickly secure restricted areas such as elevators, kitchens, swimming pools, schools and parking lots," Lopes said.
To extend equipment life, Onity recommends at least annual maintenance and training of on-site staff. "In every place that we install Onity, we always provide training, so staff can use the system to its potential," Lopes said.
In Brazil, there are more than 10,000 hotels, according to a recent report sponsored by the Hotel Operators Forum of Brazil, and many still use regular door locks. "Managers may be aware of the available technologies, but still haven't upgraded," Lopes said. "With this lock from Onity, they will improve security and reduce maintenance costs, and give more comfort and convenience to guests."
The HT RFID lock requires four AA batteries that last two years before requiring replacement, which is indicated by an LED display; it records the last 500 openings, including time and user; and the system can easily be programmed to meet the needs of the establishment.
