Onity Launches New Electronic Safe with Enhanced Design, Security

Onity, a world leader in locks and electronic safes, recently launched the OS 100 electronic safe, featuring enhanced security features, a new design, digital display and the option of left or right opening. Onity is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

"The new OS 100 is easy to use, convenient and extremely secure," said Mauricio Lopes, director, Onity Brazil. "This model includes our 'shut down' mode, which locks the safe automatically after four attempts to open it with the wrong code. It was designed for the hospitality industry and provides ease-of-use, as well as enhanced storage for securing 15-inch laptops."

The new safe also stores data from the last 100 opens. To retrieve the data, property administrators can simply connect a hand-held device to the safe or enter a code into the display. The administrator also has a single key for each device for increased security and to avoid potential damage and theft of the safe.

The new safe is available in beige and black, weighs 13 kg, and measures 20 cm in height, 42 cm in length and 37 cm in depth. It uses only four batteries and indicates the battery level on the display.

In 1993, Onity installed its first lock in Brazil and Onity Brazil continues to serve the hospitality and other segments with new products including electronic safes, energy management systems, minibars, access controls and other security products. For more information, visit www.onity.com.br
