Employees from Carrier volunteered their time at the Patriots Outpost alongside colleagues from Pratt & Whitney and Otis. Sponsored by United Technologies, the Patriots Outpost, honors thousands of veteran and active duty military personnel with free admission to the Honda Classic golf tournament, a PGA Tour event, hosted at PGA National Resort & Spa.

Four days of beautiful weather made for a record-setting year, as employees helped serve over 8,600 complimentary meals to guests, as well as promote engagement in military appreciation activities. Tournament attendees and Patriots Outpost patrons were encouraged to write special messages of thanks to active military on the Honor Wall, as well as assemble care packages comprised of snacks, personal care items and notes of gratitude to be shipped to our troops overseas. More than 1,200 care packages were created throughout the four-day tournament, another all-time high.

As part of the sponsorship, a donation of $35,000 was made to The First Tee of The Palm Beaches, which directly funds golf programs for veterans in Palm Beach County, many of whom suffer from PTSD.
