Just days before International Women’s Day, more than 80 Carrier women from across 16 countries came together to kick off a newly developed year-long career development program. ELEVATE is a one-of-a-kind career development program for women created to help accelerate and elevate women into future leadership roles. In addition to offering an immersive development program, ELEVATE ensures participants have assigned executive sponsors, dedicated coaching and access to high-impact career opportunities. The program was designed based on key learnings from our association with Paradigm for Parity (P4P), which found that sponsors are key to accelerating the advancement of women and successfully preparing them to lead.
This year’s #BalanceforBetter campaign’s “ask” for International Women’s Day is simple – take a photo with your hands raised to drive awareness of the importance of building a gender-balanced world. But when it comes to actually achieving gender parity – as we’ve committed to do in senior leadership roles by 2030 – it takes real action. Carrier’s ELEVATE program is one more step on this journey and is indicative of our company’s commitment to diversity – and that’s what International Women’s Day is really all about.
