Carrier Global Employees Work to #BreaktheBias During Women’s History Month
 

Carrier continues to deliver on its commitment to address the corporate gender gap and support its more than 16,000 female employees around the world. During Women’s History Month, over 2,000 company employees participated in various global events to #BreaktheBias and support initiatives that drive women’s equality.

From the Middle East to Asia to Latin America and Europe, Carrier’s Women’s Empowerment (WE@Carrier) Employee Resource Group hosted over 20 events in 15 countries to recognize the countless contributions that women have made around the world and at the company. Activities included panel discussions, professional development opportunities and gatherings to strengthening company culture and to reinforce Carrier’s pledge to empower women and their allies.

Award-winning journalist, producer and CEO Soledad O’Brien served as keynote speaker for WE@Carrier’s main event on International Women’s Day, March 8. O’Brien shared her own personal experiences fighting for gender equality through her career and addressed women’s issues in the workplace. The event was translated in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Polish with over 700 employees participating. WE@Carrier’s global co-chairs in the United States and Europe moderated the event.
