Mr. McNamara is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Samara, a position he has held since May 2022. Prior to the formation of Samara, Mr. McNamara served as Head of the Samara division of Airbnb, Inc. from 2020 to 2022. From 2019 to 2022 Mr. McNamara was Venture Partner with Eclipse Ventures and from 2006 to 2018, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Flex Ltd. (product development firm). From 1994 until his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in 2006, Mr. McNamara served in other senior roles at Flex, including Chief Operating Officer. Mr. McNamara is a director of Workday, Inc., where he serves on the audit and nominating & governance committees responsible for oversight of cybersecurity risks and sustainability matters, respectively. He is also a member of the board of directors of Synagile (non-public, biopharmaceutical). He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the New Legacy Opportunity Fund and a member of the Visiting Committee Advisory Board of the MIT Sloan School of Management. Mr. McNamara was previously a director of PCH International Holdings, where he served as non-executive Chairman, from 2019 to 2023, Skyryse from 2019 to 2022, Slack Technologies, Inc. from 2019 to 2021, Flex from 2005 to 2018, APTIV Corp (previously Delphi Automotive PLC) from 2009 to 2012 and SunEdison, Inc. (previously MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc.) from 2007 to 2011. Mr. McNamara holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
