UTC Building & Industrial Systems to Show Latest Security and Fire System Apps at IFSEC
UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), is unveiling new, user-friendly interfaces for its fire and security solutions, configured for use on a wide range of modern device. The newest mobile security solutions, which will be showcased at the International Fire and Security Exhibition and Conference (IFSEC), stand G1300, Hall S14, give users flexible and secure new ways to activate, manage, maintain and monitor their security solutions.
Visitors to the company’s mobile security podiums will be able to experience the latest mobile security apps for their preferred security solution on Androids, tablets, phones, iPhones and iPad devices.
Users, installers and system designers will see and try mobile apps for a broad range of technologies, including intrusion solutions for the private and commercial markets. With these apps, users can, for example, easily access system status, system log and arm/disarm functions from any location.
The TruPortal access solution is another example, making all security events available on users’ mobile devices, including related event images.
The TVRmobile app for video surveillance gives users instant access to video from the site, live and recorded.
“This year at IFSEC we are especially looking forward to launching a brand-new app and server for the Ziton fire solutions,” said Kevin Swann, country manager, Fire & Security UK, UTC Building & Industrial Systems . “With an exciting set of features, this will be of special interest for fire installers and end users looking for networked and wireless fire solutions. Our new Ziton technology offers significant benefits, streamlining and improving service and maintenance routines.”
The Mobile Monitoring app for the Lenel OnGuard integrated security solution allows users to receive and acknowledge alarms for virtually all mobile device operating systems, anywhere a data-capable wireless connection is available. The OnGuard Mobile Monitoring app is fully integrated with OnGuard permissions, segmented access and monitoring zone assignments. This makes it possible to have alarms routed directly to individuals assigned to patrol specific areas or to activate duress alarms in hostile situations and much more.
“At IFSEC, visitors will experience UTC’s latest security solutions focusing on advanced technology, integrated solutions and user-friendly interfaces,” Swann added. “We will demonstrate a complete set of apps for fire and security, all designed to improve the way solutions work, and to give our customers peace of mind.”
