Carrier India Assists in the Fight Against COVID-19 in Delhi
Carrier India has joined the fight against COVID-19 by supporting local healthcare efforts in the region through a $140,000 initiative in Delhi, India. The project helped raise awareness about COVID-19 and provided much-needed healthcare assistance for area families, service technicians in the field and frontline workers.

Included in Carrier’s donation, the local Health Minister received a real-time COVID-19 testing machine that increased the area’s COVID-19 testing capacity from 80 to 300 tests per day. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits were also distributed to frontline workers, including disposable gloves, masks, safety glasses, liquid hand soap and more.

COVID-19 communications were developed and posted in the village adjacent to the Carrier India plant to help raise awareness of how people can protect themselves and their families from the virus. Carrier employees distributed 3,000 PPE kits, including masks, gloves and liquid hand soap to the community residents. Ration kits were also distributed to those in need.

“At Carrier, community involvement is not just about contributing funds. Our employees are passionate and want to get involved to make a real impact,” said Farokh Madan, director, Marketing and Strategy, South Asia Pacific. “As a part of our fight against COVID-19, we’re committed to supporting government hospitals in Delhi by increasing testing capabilities and providing PPE for healthcare workers. Additionally, we supported the community around our India factory by educating the residents on precautions they should take to stay safe.”
