Carrier Interns Give Back(packs) to Local Schools on National Intern Day

On National Intern Day, Carrier’s world headquarters-based interns, located at the Center for Intelligent Buildings in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, gave back to the local area where they live, work and play by hosting a school supply drive and backpack assembly event.

Working together, the interns and employee volunteers stuffed 100 backpacks to benefit four local classrooms supported by the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County. Through the Red Apple Supplies program, employees helped ensure that the children in these classrooms received the supplies they need to succeed throughout the school year. In addition to filling the backpacks with everything from notebooks, pens, markers and more, Carrier employees donated additional supplies to fill an additional 20 backpacks for students in need. The event, which took place on National Intern Day in August, was coordinated by a group of seven interns as a part of their intensive summer internship programs with Carrier in areas such as Communications, Marketing, Finance, Digital and Operations.
