Habitat for Humanity and Carrier: 25 Years, 22 Homes and a Priceless Community Relationship
Habitat for Humanity and Carrier

Habitat for Humanity works to transform the lives of people around the world by partnering with families, individuals and local communities to create affordable housing solutions. In Indianapolis, Carrier has been a local sponsor for the last 25 years, making it the longest-running corporate partner with the Greater Indy chapter.

Construction of the 22nd Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity home was recently completed, and Carrier volunteers attended the dedication ceremony to celebrate with the family. The homeowner, Jasmine Nave, and her five-year-old daughter were presented with the keys to their new house and had an opportunity to thank those from the community who were involved throughout the process.

“This has truly been a blessing and I’m so appreciative for this opportunity,” said Nave. “Through sweat and tears, I can now proudly say that this is home for me and my daughter.”

The home features products from the Healthy Homes suite of indoor air quality solutions, including a Carrier Infinity® air purifier, evaporator coil ultraviolet (UV) lights, a bypass humidifier as well as Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) combination alarms.

“This year has been very challenging, but it’s great to be able to come together and celebrate this milestone,” said Justin Keppy, President, Residential & Light Commercial HVAC. “This marks a new beginning in life for the Nave family and we’re honored to have been part of it.”

Since 1995, Carrier has donated nearly 600 home comfort systems and is currently the exclusive HVAC supplier for Greater Indy Habitat homes. Carrier was named the 2019 Corporate Sponsor of the Year by the chapter.

Carrier also supports Habitat affiliates nationwide and has provided more than $3 million in donations in addition to countless employee volunteer hours.
