Hakan Yilmaz is President, Carrier Energy & Chief Sustainability Officer for Carrier. In this role, he is responsible for Carrier Energy, an intelligent energy solutions business, that integrates Carrier's battery-enabled HVAC technology with AI solutions to help strengthen the grid and maintain comfort all while adapting to evolving energy demands. Hakan also oversees Carrier’s sustainability strategy and initiatives and is charged with accelerating progress toward Carrier’s 2050 net zero goal, which is anchored in reducing customers’ carbon footprints with innovative products and leading home and building energy management solutions worldwide.

Hakan joined Carrier in 2022 and has more than 25 years of experience in engineering, technology, innovation, product management and strategy organizations in the Automotive and Aerospace industries at Bosch, BorgWarner and Honeywell.

Hakan earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Orta Dogu Teknik Universitesi, Ankara, Turkey and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering and engineering management from the University of Michigan.
